At 12 years old, I moved to the United States. As far back as I can remember, academics and relationships were either extremely easy or unbearably difficult. Without mental health support but with a determination to succeed, I white-knuckled through life. With a merit-based scholarship, I graduated with a Finance and Management Information Systems degree. However, the lack of self-understanding or compassion came at a significant cost to my well-being.
After 13 years of working as a data scientist in NYC, I was fortunate to stay home with my children. During my first child's preschool years, she was diagnosed with ADHD. My guiding principle has always been that if there is a will, there is a way. Therefore, to me, ADHD was merely a term to describe spoiled or lazy behaviors. Determined to help my child, I delved into literature about ADHD. The emotional journey that followed is difficult to articulate. Understanding the impact of ADHD on the developing and adult brain was the most eye-opening, validating, and empowering experience. I, too, had ADHD.
The experts at NYU Child Study Center and The Hallowell Center coached my family for a decade on how to thrive with ADHD and parent ADHD kids effectively. Empowered, I began to help friends who had ADHD or felt ADHD-ish to understand what gets in their way and develop strategies to thrive in their lives. In 2023, I graduated from ADDCA, one of two accredited ADHD programs worldwide. My coaching aims to empower clients to achieve their goals. We partner to understand your unique brain, strengths, and values and create strategies to reach your goals. While I can't guarantee specific outcomes, I promise to dedicate myself fully to helping you work with your brain effectively.
